The 2026 NASCAR schedules were released on Aug. 20 with several changes, including moving the All-Star Race to Dover, adding a points race to North Wilkesboro, and bringing the series back to Chicagoland Speedway.

Dover, once a track that held two Cup race weekends as recently as 2020, will now only host the All-Star Race weekend along with O'Reilly Auto Parts/Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series points races on May 15-17.

North Wilkesboro will hold a Cup Series points race on July 19 for the first time since 1996 after three seasons of hosting the All-Star Race weekend.
