The battle for supremacy in the state capital will rage on, as the Siena University and UAlbany men's basketball programs have agreed on a contract to continue the Albany Cup rivalry series through 2028. The new agreement features a four-year, "true home-and-home" series, according to news releases sent out Wednesday morning.

The Saints will host the first installment on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, and then again in 2027 at Albany's downtown MVP Arena. The Great Danes will have home-court advantage in 2026 and 2028, at their on-campus Broadview Center.
