Phil Simms will return to NBC Sports for three Big Ten football games as an analyst on Peacock this season, the network plans to announce on Tuesday.
Simms, an NFL game analyst for NBC from 1995-98, is scheduled for Western Illinois at Illinois on Aug. 29 and Miami of Ohio at Rutgers on Sept. 6.
Simms will work a third game later in the season that has not yet been announced. His play-by-play partner will be Paul Burmeister.
The former Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl winner worked at NBC with Dick Enberg and Paul Maguire, calling Super Bowls XXX and XXXII. He later spent 26 years with CBS, ending after the 2023 season.
Simms’ son, Chris, also will analyze multiple Big Ten games this season for NBC.
