Tigers adjust $15 million pitcher's workload as he nears return from injury
It's been a long road to recovery for starting pitcher Alex Cobb, while he continues to recover from inflammation in both his right and left hips. He's received multiple injections to help with the recovery, but he's yet to make his Detroit Tigers debut after signing last offseason.
After signing a one-year, $15 million deal with the Tigers, Cobb was set to have a large role with Detroit this season. His injury was discovered in Spring Training, and the multiple setbacks have kept him from playing.
Despite the constant discomfort, Cobb is still looking to return for the Tigers and has continued to do everything possible to get back on the mound for the team.
