Georgia has landed among the toughest states in the country for traffic enforcement , ranking No. 2 nationwide in a new study published by Forbes .

According to the report , based on research from Davidoff Law Personal Injury Lawyers , Georgia drivers face some of the steepest penalties in the U.S., especially for speeding violations and DUI offenses.

"[Georgia and Illinois] have the strictest traffic laws in the nation, and violations can be very costly, a new study shows," Forbes wrote.
