Paulsboro High School will name its stadium after legendary football player and coach Glenn Howard during halftime of its game against Audubon on Sept. 6.

Kickoff for the game is 11 a.m.

Howard, a 1977 Paulsboro High School graduate, was a three-sport star in high school, competing in basketball, baseball and football. He was a three-year, two-way starter in football, earning All-South Jersey honors twice as a defensive end in his junior year and quarterback as a senior. In 1976, Howard and co-captain Paul Morina helped lead the team to its first Colonial Conference title in 12 years.

Howard went on to play at the University of Minnesota where he was a three-year starter at inside linebacker. He later played professionally in the USFL for four seasons with the Philadelphia and Baltimore
