Escalating their long-running feud, Dover Police Chief Jonathan Delaney sued Mayor James Dodd on Monday, saying his boss has targeted him with a campaign of defamation and harassment for refusing to endorse Dodd in the last two mayoral races.
Delaney has endured years of "slander and closed-door schemes to demote and ultimately terminate him in violation of his employment contract," according to the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 19 in Morris County Superior Co
