INDIANAPOLIS — A banged-up Colts team is starting to get healthy.
Veteran cornerbacks Jaylon Jones and JuJu Brents returned to practice on Wednesday after missing three weeks due to hamstring injuries, and even though starting strong safety Nick Cross did not practice, he could be seen running and doing change-of-direction drills.
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. was also back in the lineup after getting Tuesday’s practice off.
Indianapolis is also getting some of its depth back.
Undrafted free agent cornerback Johnathan Edwards, who has impressed the Colts this season, was able to practice in a red, non-contact jersey, suggesting that he’s getting close to passing the concussion protocol. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
