Indiana Fever fans did not get the news they were hoping for when head coach Stephanie White provided an injury update on guard Caitlin Clark on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

White said the former Iowa women's basketball star's recovery has remained "status quo" during a media availability on Wednesday, according to IndyStar reporter Chloe Peterson ,

“Until she can get into practice, and until you guys see her in practice, it's really status quo, same as same as we have been," White said.

The Fever next hit the court Friday, Aug. 22, against the Minnesota Lynx in the first of a two-game series. It will likely be Clark's 23rd missed game this season.

The Lynx, who are the WNBA's best team with a 28-6 record, have also been without a key member of their team, star forward Napheesa C
