The 502s band has an origin story that’s Central Florida to the core.
The five-member group played their first shows at open mic nights at Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub in Winter Park. They’ve filmed a music video at Kappy’s Subs, and their front man is a Bishop Moore Catholic High school graduate.
Even the group’s name references the street address of lead singer and banjo player Eddie Isola’s childhood home in Maitland.
“Everything in this band has existed off the 17-92 corridor,” said Isola, referring to the busy road that runs through Orlando, Winter Park and Maitland.
