CINCINNATI, Ohio (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Police have charged a man in connection with a violent downtown fight that happened last month.
According to ABC affiliate WCPO 9 News, the 45-year-old—who is also identified as a victim—faces disorderly conduct charges and is scheduled to appear in court on August 26.
He is the eighth person charged in the July 26 incident near 4th and Elm Streets. Seven others previously charged in the case face serious felony counts, including felonious assault and aggravated rioting.
City leaders say the latest arrest addresses community concerns about accountability, while the president of Cincinnati’s Fraternal Order of Police has called the charges politically motivated.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
