MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison officials have selected the next city clerk.
City of Madison announced Wednesday the appointment of Lydia McComas, who most recently worked as voter engagement division manager in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Madison officials highlighted how McComas has played a key election administrator role in Minnesota, overseeing more than 700,000 active voters. This includes the City of Minneapolis.
She has experience with overseeing election law compliance, training poll workers and certifying election results. Madison officials noted she also has experience with helping local governments with records and licensing requirements.
Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway said she is excited for McComas to come to Madison.
