Through the coordination of the Antonio José de Sucre Plan and a joint effort between the national government, the Miranda state government, and the Sucre municipality mayor's office, comprehensive rehabilitation work was launched on the Turumo tunnel, considered one of the main access routes to the Caucaguita parish.

The project, considered to have a high impact on local mobility, will be carried out in several stages and includes the following: construction of gullies from the Miranda development, expansion of a manhole and culverts to channel rainwater, complete waterproofing of the tunnel, installation of a new lighting system, painting and beautification work, and repair and improvement of the adjacent roadway, according to a press release.
