ALEXANDRIA — Wiz Kids and Kinder Kamp may sound like the titles of upcoming blockbuster movies, but they're not. Instead, they are just two of the programs offered by Alexandria Public Schools during the summer.
At the Monday, Aug. 18, Alexandria School Board meeting, Michelle Bethke-Kaliher, director of Student Support Services for APS, shared an update on this year’s programs.
For the Early Childhood Special Education program, there were nine days of service, which took place in June. There were 18 students, ages 3 to 5, who attended. Bethke-Kaliher noted that children from birth to 2 years of age have year-round services and that staff members were working hard with them, as well.
