Multiple wildfires are burning in the neighboring countries as high temperatures continue to blanket the region, according to The Guardian and the BBC .

Virginia Barcones, the head of Spain's Civil Protection and Emergencies, has told broadcaster TVE there are 23 "active fires" being fought, Agence France-Presse reported.
