The Mohave County Department of Public Health issued on Tuesday a public health advisory encouraging residents to stay informed about measles following reported cases.

According to health department officials, Measles can cause long-term health complications, result in hospitalization, or even death. The illness spreads easily through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and can linger for up to two hours after the infected person leaves the area. ×
