Two deaths and a Civil Protection officer with second-degree burns, in addition to countless material losses, were the result of the massive fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in the Los Guayos municipality of Carabobo state.

The fatal victims were identified as Gabriela Tejerías (39 years old) and Miguel Ángel Tovar (18 years old).

It was learned that Tejerías worked as an administrator for the company Provequim and was trapped inside when the first explosions erupted. Tovar, meanwhile, was an intern and died while trying to save the woman's life.

The injured Civil Protection officer, identified as Victor Vilera (38 years old), is in stable condition after suffering burns on several parts of his body.
