It started with a handful of yarn, creativity, and a shared sense of gratitude, and now the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands has a one-of-a-kind work of art hanging just outside its council chambers.
The Women Matters group has donated a hand-crafted rug hooking of the township logo, a gesture members say was meant to show their appreciation for the community they call home.
