ALEXANDRIA — I’ve had a lot on my mind and a lot of feelings as of late. I’ve pondered what’s most important to me in life and where I see myself in the future.

And to be quite honest, I miss home, where all of my closest family members still live.

I was born and raised in Ames, Iowa, and following my graduation from Ames High School in 2018, I stayed in the city to study Journalism and Mass Communication at Iowa State University.

Immediately after graduating from Iowa State in December 2021, I was hired as a sports reporter at the Echo Press. When I want something, I usually don’t waste time going after it, so when the opportunity to start at the Echo Press on Jan. 4, 2022, presented itself, I couldn’t pass it up.
