PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Reactions, condolences and memories have been pouring in following the news of the death of "America's Nicest Judge" Frank Caprio.

Caprio died Wednesday afternoon at the age of 88. One day prior to his death, a video was posted on Caprio's Facebook page saying that he was back in the hospital.

"Last year I asked you to pray for me, and it's very obvious that you did because I came through a very difficult period," Caprio said in the video. "Unfortunately I've had a setback."

Caprio asked his fans to keep him in their prayers once more.

"I'm a great believer in the power of prayers," he added. "I think the almighty above is looking over us, so remember me please."
