NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Multiple subway lines have been severely disrupted during Wednesday's evening commute, according to the MTA.
Service on the B, D, F, and M lines has been disrupted and rerouted due to a train's brakes being activated near West 4th Street-Washington Square.
Service on the N, Q, R, and W is disrupted due to a switch problem near Prince Street.
Service changes: • Downtown B trains will end at 2nd Av (via the F line). Some downtown B trains will run via the C line from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to West 4th Street-Washington Square, and then via the F line to 2nd Av. • Downtown D trains are rerouted via the F line from 34th Street-Herald Square to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.
