Geddes, N.Y. — Fairgoers can skip the umbrellas Thursday if they’re heading to the New York State Fair .
After a soggy, overcast opening day, the weather is expected to improve. Patchy fog and a few isolated showers could linger early in the morning, but conditions should clear after 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The afternoon should be partly sunny with a high near 75 degrees and a light breeze.
The evening forecast also looks pleasant with clear skies. Temperatures will dip into the upper 60s, so fairgoers staying late may want to pack a light jacket or sweatshirt.
