MADISON (WKOW) -- It's the time of year where teachers are preparing their classrooms for the start of school.

But educators in Dane County might have a difficult time finding all the books and supplies they need for the year ahead.

One organization has offered a solution to help fill those wishlists.

Teachers are flocking to Madison Reading Project to find items on their classroom wishlists.

Teachers get the opportunity to fill their baskets with at least 25 new books and an opportunity to get more used books.

Taylor Miller is a 5th grade teacher at Sugar Creek Elementary School in Verona.

She said coming to the bookstore helps fill her classroom wishlist and save money, especially mid-way through the school year.
