SUDBURY, Mass. —

A drive-thru coffee shop in Sudbury, Massachusetts, that has been in business for more than a decade is shutting down because the town will not allow the popular shop to sell breakfast sandwiches.

Debby's Drive Thru, a beloved local spot, is closing Thursday after 12 years due to health department concerns over egg preparation methods. Owner Debby Johnston said she has been making her egg sandwiches the same way for years but is now being told she must change her methods.

"I do baked goods, I do everything that a little coffee place does," Johnston said.

Debby's Drive Thru, the only drive-thru in town, operates out of an old Fotomat, where Johnston has crafted her popular breakfast sandwiches.

"The eggs are fresh. It's a great sandwich and people love them," Johnston
