CICERO, Ind. — Randy Andis is fed up with how an insurance claim is being handled despite the note left behind by the school bus driver who damaged his granddaughter’s Volvo XC90.

Randy and his wife bought the Volvo for their granddaughter. In December, her car was parked outside Lapel High School while she attended the boys’ basketball game against Wapahani.

On the day of the incident, Randy got a call from his granddaughter in which she reportedly said, “Pop, the school bus hit my car.”

The family filed a police report with the Lapel Police Department. The report included a diagram of the accident plus a statement from an eyewitness and the school bus driver. The Wapahani bus driver told police she was on her way to pick up the basketball team at the time of the crash.
