BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University is building back up, one step at a time.

University President John Hoffman shared pictures on social media of the campus cleaned up as students return to school Monday, Aug. 25.

Ninety percent of the school’s roofs and buildings experienced damage, and 200 windows had damage from the storms and high winds in late June.

This semester, some classes will even be off-site, working with local businesses, as some of their equipment saw damage from storms.

The school has not received a final assessment but is prepared for the damages to cost millions of dollars.
