Europe’s fourth smallest country, with a population dwarfed by London , is also the home to one of its wealthiest royal families - Liechtenstein, who are mere days away from hosting one of the most extravagant events of the season : the royal wedding of Princess Marie Caroline and Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer.

The couple, who are based in England’s capital but are set to wed in the landlocked principality on 30 August, were spotted over the weekend attending celebrations for Liechtenstein’s National Day. The occasion was marked with an open-air church where citizens gathered in the garden of Vaduz Castle to meet the Princely Family, including Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie, who looked radiant in a blue floral-print midi dress by Etro.
