Just two days after Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison stood at public safety headquarters on Monday, August 18 and vowed to hammer down on gangs and violent offenders with federal indictments, 11 search warrants were executed throughout Detroit, yielding over 40 guns and several arrests.
“Guess what y’all? I’m a promise keeper. And I promise to get these offenders off the street," he said in an update to the media on Wednesday, August 20.
“I know who they are, and the feds know who they are. Madam Prosecutor (Kym) Worthy knows who they are. We all know who they are, and we’re definitely going to hold them accountable.”
