SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A world-renowned DJ is stepping out from behind the decks to bring a unique fitness event to San Francisco this fall. Diplo's Run Club will be returning to the City by the Bay in October.

The event made its Bay Area debut in SF last year along the Embarcadero. This year, after being originally planned for Pier 30 & 32, the 5K race and post-race music experience will take place at Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park on Oct. 11.

The change of venue, which comes in collaboration with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, is meant to offer "participants a scenic new route through one of the city's most beloved landmarks." Last year, the event drew 15,000 runners and music fans.
