The Seattle Mariners have added a veteran who has pitched in the major leagues this season as a potential bullpen depth option, signing former All-Star and American League Rookie of the Year winner Michael Fulmer to a minor league contract.

Fulmer signed with the Mariners on Tuesday, per the MILB.com transactions page, and has been assigned to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.

In 33 appearances with three different Triple-A teams this year, Fulmer has a 3.98 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, .230 opponent batting average, and 68 strikeouts to 24 walks over 54 1/3 innings.
