According to a report by the Environmental Protection Agency , South Bend’s PFAS count in drinking water is above federal standards.
PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” are lasting chemicals that break down overtime.
Scientific studies have shown that exposure to some of these chemicals may be linked to harmful health effects in humans and animals.
