Two active wildfires in Broward County, Florida, have burned over 19,000 acres of land thus far, causing smoke to take over several parts of the state’s southern communities, making its way towards Alligator Alley. While not yet encroaching on Everglades National Park itself, the fire is impacting both major everglades forest areas and nearby towns in Southern Florida.
Firefighters are on the scene, but the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' (FDACS) live map shows that the fires remain zero percent contained.
