FORSYTH, Mo. (KY3) - A woman faces felony charges after the deaths of her five dogs in Taney County.

Lisa Kidwell, of Kissee Mills, faces five counts of animal abuse.

Investigators say Kidwell left the dogs in a camper during the hottest part of the summer with no air conditioning. Investigators described the camper as filthy with caked-on waste and urine inside it. Temperatures had been around 90 degrees.

Investigators believe they did not die at the same time.
