Ever since a video was released in late July showing cramped, unsanitary conditions for dozens of detained migrants at the federal immigration court in Lower Manhattan, lawmakers and advocates have been demanding answers and calling for change.

Last week, a judge ordered the Trump administration to improve conditions at the detention center at 26 Federal Plaza.

On Tuesday, the Adams administration backed a lawsuit against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests at courthouses.

Rep. Dan Goldman, whose district includes neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss more.

The congressman, who is a former federal prosecutor, has regularly visited the courthouse and been denied access to see the condition
