SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing teen last seen getting into a vehicle outside of a high school, say deputies.

Deputies say 16-year-old Yu’Niya Zhrori Cooks was last seen getting into a 2017 – 2020 black Ford Edge outside of Lakewood High School at around 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, after getting off the school bus.

The teen is described as light-skin, with blonde braids, and brown eyes.

She weighs around 198, and is 5’- 7” in height.

Anyone who sees Cooks is asked to call 911, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 803-436-2000.
