GRAND BLANC, MI — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and U.S. Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet share similar concerns about recent cuts made to Medicare and the lack of understanding of their potential impact.

Whitmer and McDonald Rivet (D-Bay City) met with residents at a community fair Wednesday, Aug. 20 on the campus of Grand Blanc High School.

They took five questions from a select group of attendees during a short speaking portion of the event inside the Gary Oldham Pool.

The conversation centered around the challenges and support systems for families and children in Michigan, particularly concerning education, healthcare and childcare.
