The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall for shrimp sold at Walmart due to possible contamination with radioactive chemicals.

The agency is warning retailers and consumers not to sell or eat certain lots of raw frozen Great Value shrimp sold at Walmart stores in 13 states.

According to an Aug. 19 notice from the agency , the frozen shrimp, which was imported from an Indonesian-based plant called PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati, is in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act because it is possibly contaminated with Cesium-137 (Cs-137), a man-made radioactive isotope.
