Former Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Chief Kristin Crowley has filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, alleging she was wrongfully terminated, defamed, and retaliated against, according to a report from CBS Los Angeles.

The legal action comes after Bass fired Crowley in February, a decision made in the wake of the devastating Palisades fires that resulted in 27 deaths and destroyed thousands of buildings.
