The Colorado Department of Transportation has plans to repave, which will cause overnight closures at the intersection of South Powers Boulevard and Milton E. Proby Parkway.

Milton E. Proby Parkway will be closed Sunday, Aug. 24 to Thursday, Aug. 28 from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., from Peak Innovation Loop to Hancock Expressway. From 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., both north and southbound Powers Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane from Mile Marker 137 to 138, according to CDOT.

The repaving activity that the Department of Transportation has planned will improve roadway conditions in the intersection and extend the life of the pavement, according to a news release.

Crews will remove existing asphalt and overlay new asphalt to "improve smoothness and safety for drivers," the release states.
