BEMIDJI – It took over two months for the Bemidji High School girls tennis team to suffer its first loss in 2024. But 2025 is a new ballgame.
The Lumberjacks were swept in their first home triangular in the new season on Wednesday, falling to section rival Alexandria 5-2 and Thief River Falls 4-3.
“We saw some bright spots in communication, and some new leaders took over some different roles,” head coach Kyle Fodness said. “I think that’s fun. I think if the girls leave here today, only focused on the result, that’s one thing. It’s OK to be aware of it and unhappy about it, but I think they have a very clear direction of things to work on for next time.”
