LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A new bill introduced in the state house looks to ban mRNA vaccines in Michigan.

The bill would actually ban all medical treatments involving genetic material.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, currently the COVID-19 shot is the only mRNA vaccine on the market.

While the vaccines are designed to train your body to fight infectious diseases, Republican State Representative Brad Paquette feels they’re causing more harm than good.

“The more I dove into this, the more problems I found with the mRNA shots,” said Brad Paquette (R) Niles.

Paquette said the shots almost cost him his life. He said he had piercing heart pain the day after he got the COVID-19 vaccine and had a heart attack a few months later.
