FARGO — Elivis Peralta and LG Castillo each had three hits and drove in three runs as Gary SouthShore beat Fargo-Moorhead 11-3 on Wednesday night in American Association baseball at Newman Outdoor Field.
Cooper Edwards, the No. 9 hitter in the RailCats lineup, went 3-for-4 with a two-run double in the second inning as the RailCats took a 3-1 lead.
For the RedHawks, Jose Sermo had an RBI double in the first inning and Juan Fernandez had RBI singles in the third and eighth innings. Fernandez leads the team with 47 RBIs this season.
The RailCats added two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and two in the seventh for a commanding 10-2 lead. Carlos Machado homered in the ninth.
