BUFFALO, N.Y. — More than 40 protesters gathered at Symphony Circle on Wednesday night to call for an end to the escalation of the war between Israel and Hamas .
"Children are starving, and it needs to end now," organizer Dylan Senner said. "The money needs to end now."
Organized by the WWL and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, protesters also want divestment from Israeli interests here in the United States.
"We need to divest, and we need to sanction Israel," Senner said. "The international community comes together, and our voice here in the U.S. is just as important, if not more important, and it needs to be an international movement that continues the pressure."
That includes divestment by elected leaders, and specifically cite U.S. Rep. Tim Kennedy's recent trip to Israel.
