GLENDALE, Ariz. — A Valley influencer was shot and killed by a stray bullet in front of her three-year-old son last Friday.

According to Glendale police, the random gunfire stemmed from a road rage incident she was never involved in.

Yarely Hermosillo, 27, was waiting at a red light at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Camelback Road with her husband, mother, and son when a bullet broke through the passenger window and struck Hermosillo in the eye, police said.

"It hurts to lose your other half, but when it happens in front of you and you can’t do nothing, it’s a different type of hurt," Daniel Salgado, her husband, said.

Salgado rushed his wife to the nearest hospital, but Hermosillo's injuries were too severe and she died.
