SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Summit County Sheriff Frank Smith has announced his plans to retire, effective in September.
Frank Smith, the current Summit County Sheriff, announced that he will be retiring, effective September 5, 2025. Sheriff Frank Smith has worked in a variety of law enforcement roles for over 45 years, and he has worked as the Summit County sheriff for over a decade.
In a statement, he said, "I leave this role with immense pride in what we have accomplished, and with deep gratitude for the support of the Summit County Council, our exceptional staff, and the residents who placed their trust in me."
