Two Metro buses were involved in a three-vehicle collision Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles, resulting in three people being taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Firefighters initially responded to the 100 block of South Grand Avenue, near First Street, at approximately 4:17 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a Metro bus that drove onto a sidewalk, injuring a 52-year-old woman on the bus

She was taken to a hospital and is listed in fair condition, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.

MTA spokesman Jose Ubaldo said three people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries following the collision that caused an “unknown number” of passengers to suffer minor injuries.
