FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – With the back-to-school season in full swing, Friday Night Lights is making its return.
This week, valley football players are getting a warm welcome with their first game of the season.
So far, many games have been pushed back or rescheduled to different days due to the extreme heat. "Safety is of utmost importance to us. We don't want anybody to overheat and all that," said Beau Hill, Hanford High's athletic director.
For high school football this Friday, the following games have been moved from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: • Clovis High at Central Valley Christian • Orsoi at Madera South • Kerman at Torres High
In Hanford, the freshman game on Thursday was pushed from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the JV game will follow after.
