The Sunset Fire is burning 2,208 acres as of Wednesday night, and firefighters have achieved 6% containment, according to the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL).

Hotshots and hand crews strengthened the western fire lines with the help of engines and other heavy equipment. Firefighters also worked to establish fire lines along the northern flank, IDL reported.
