A fire at a 50-foot by 100-foot one-story commercial building in Wilmington was knocked down in 21 minutes by 45 Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters Wednesday evening.

Firefighters responded at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday to 1311 East L St., east of North Watson Avenue, where they found heavy smoke inside the building, LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
