Hostage is Netflix’s heart-stopping new thriller series starring Suranne Jones, Julie Delpy, Lucian Msamati, Ashley Thomas, and Corey Mylchreest.

The five-part Netflix series follows fictional British Prime Minister Abigail Dalton (played by Jones) whose life is thrown into turmoil after her medic husband Dr Alex Anderson (Thomas) is kidnapped while working abroad. Dalton faces a choice: resign or Alex will be killed.

The abduction takes place during a visit by the French President Vivienne Toussaint (Delpy), who is also being blackmailed.

The two political leaders find themselves as odds as they try to hang onto their professional careers and maintain their own agendas in the midst of it all.
